Holiday Hope

An annual outreach providing needs-based support, essential items, and carefully fulfilled requests for children and families across Hamilton, Ohio.

Overview

Holiday Hope is an annual outreach built around one simple principle: what is given should meet real needs, and bring joy.

Each season begins with a list. Children are invited to share specific requests, including clothing sizes, shoes, everyday essentials, and items they hope for. These lists are used to ensure that what is provided is accurate, useful, and meaningful.

From shoes that fit to coats that are needed, from toys that were asked for to items used every day, each request is fulfilled with intention and care.

This outreach is carried out through a coordinated effort across the community. Individuals, families, churches, businesses, and organizations adopt children and entire families, ensuring that each list is completed.

What begins as a simple form becomes a structured, community-supported effort to meet real needs, fill hearts during the holiday season.

How It Works

• Children are given a form to share specific needs, clothing sizes, and gift requests

• Requests include toys, clothing, shoes, and everyday essentials

• Individuals, families, churches, businesses and organizations are given an opportunity to adopt children or entire families

• Items are purchased, collected, and organized based on each submitted list

• Gifts are wrapped, tagged, and prepared with care and accuracy

• Volunteers coordinate delivery to ensure each family receives their items

• The process is structured, personal, and supported at every stage

Who It Serves

Holiday Hope serves children and families across Hamilton, including those who benefit from additional support during the holiday season.

Why It Matters

The holiday season often carries both expectation and pressure for families. Holiday Hope helps relieve that weight by ensuring children receive not only gifts, but items that meet real, everyday needs.

When a child opens something that fits, something they asked for, or something they genuinely needed, it changes the experience. It removes uncertainty and replaces it with a sense of being seen and cared for.

For families, it creates space to experience the season differently, not defined by what is lacking, but supported in a way that allows them to participate, gather, and celebrate.

For our bus kids, it reminds them, we are for them and with them in every season of their lives.
