Overview
The Thanksgiving Outreach is an annual initiative designed to provide meals and support to individuals and families during the Thanksgiving season. Food is collected through contributions from individuals, churches, organizations, and community partners, then organized and distributed through a structured and accessible process.
This outreach helps ensure families are able to gather and share a meal during the holiday while reducing the added pressure that often comes with the season.
How It Works
• The outreach takes place annually leading up to Thanksgiving
• Food and meal items are collected through community contributions and partnerships
• Items are sorted and prepared in advance for organized distribution
• Individuals and families are invited to participate with no pre-registration or identification required
• Basic household information is collected at arrival to support organization and follow-up
• Volunteers and staff coordinate collection, preparation, and distribution
• Families also have the opportunity to connect with additional weekly and seasonal programs
