Who It Serves

Warrior Camp serves children and youth across Hamilton, including students who benefit from additional academic support and structured summer engagement.

Why It Matters

Summer months can create significant gaps in learning, particularly in reading and writing. Research shows that most students experience learning loss during this time, with many losing ground academically without consistent engagement.

For some students, the challenge extends beyond academics. The absence of structured environments during the summer can also mean reduced access to stability, routine, and consistent meals.

Warrior Camp helps address both.

By providing a structured, consistent environment, the program creates a safe space where students are supported each day. Meals are provided, routines are established, and students are given the opportunity to engage in both learning and personal development.

With smaller student-to-teacher ratios, students receive direct attention that builds trust, strengthens engagement, and supports both academic and personal growth. Character development is intentionally integrated, helping students build discipline, focus, and responsibility alongside their learning.

Program Impact

Strengthening academic retention during the summer months, helping reduce learning loss and maintain progress

Establishing consistency and routine that supports improved focus, participation, and daily engagement

Building trust through smaller group settings, allowing students to engage more confidently and consistently

Developing personal responsibility, discipline, and follow-through through structured expectations

Creating pathways for continued involvement, with many students remaining connected to weekly and seasonal programs

Support Warrior Camp

Warrior Camp is made possible through the support of volunteers, donors, and community partners who help provide resources, meals, and transportation for students.
